“57.7% of Juvenile Prostitution arrests are Black Children”

Human trafficking is a global, multi-billion-dollar enterprise, where black children are at a higher risk. Every year, millions of black children fall victim to traffickers for the purpose of exploitation. This includes prostitution, forced labor, domestic servitude. A crime that shames us all, human trafficking robs black children of their dignity, dreams and basic human rights.

The United Nations passed a resolution in 2013 ,designating July 30 as World Day Against Trafficking in Persons to raise awareness about the growing issue of human trafficking and the protection of victims and their rights.

in the United states of America,Foster children are vulnerable to being victims by child trafficking, and 60% of child sex trafficking victims have a history in the child welfare system.  Children in the foster care system often live in of the poorest communities in America.

How Are They Lured?

It is amazing how many people are not aware of the fact that human trafficking is a $32 billion-a-year industry and is on the rise in all 50 states with 4.5 Million of trafficked persons are sexually exploited. Up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year. The International Labor Organization estimates that of the 20.9 million people who are trafficked in the world (for all types of work) 5.5 million are children.

They are lawyers, doctors, store clerks, CEO’s, bus drivers, teachers, mothers and fathers. 1 out of every 6 runaway is lured into sex slavery as their pimp profits around $33,000.00 per week from their torture and tears.

One would think families are educating their children, of these atrocities happening all over the world. Everyone, especially children, should be taught to be observant of their surroundings, and not trust everyone they meet via various meduim. How desperate can an 11-year-old boy be and what lured him to drive 200 miles across South Carolina to meet a stranger he knew only on Snapchat. After three hours of driving, the young boy spotted a police officer, pulled up next to his vehicle and said he was lost, according to police.

The child drove from the northwest town of Simpsonville to Charleston. He told the officer early Monday morning he had taken his brother’s car to go to Charleston where he wanted to live with “an unknown male he met on Snapchat,” police said. But when he lost GPS signal on his father’s tablet, he couldn’t recover the man’s address, police said, as Snapchat messages disappear or are deleted after they’re read. Shocking right… but, these stories are more common than not.

Based on the above story Kadé Hill of Jaido Studios & John Estrada partnered to bring the White Rose film to fruition. The White Rose film brings awareness to the silent cries of women and children begging for help floating through the skies wishing that someone will come to their rescue. Unfortunately, that is the painful reality for so many that are being sold, rented and traded for someone else’s sexual pleasures; on many occasions, their predators are familiar faces.
